BEWARE OF STONE THROWING YOUNGSTERS IN LESOTHO

Welcome to the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho often called
"The Kingdom in the Sky"

We cannot describe the splendour of Lesotho's mountain ranges - these pictures tell all.  Just when you get to the top another peak looms ahead. There is little in the way of game but the magnificent scenery makes up for the lack of it. Roads are generally not that bad but "proper 4x4's" are needed for mountainous regions. Do not let people persuade you otherwise. Lesotho can be considered an integral part of South Africa (being totally surrounded by this country) yet few South Africans even know where it is or what it can offer the tourist.

IT IS A BIG SHAME THAT NEARLY ALL THE KIDS ARE BECOMING BEGGARS SHOUTING AT EVERY PASSING VEHICLE FOR MONEY OR SWEETS - THE TOURISTS ARE TO BLAME FOR THIS AND ITS NOT NICE TO SEE SO MANY PEOPLE WITH THEIR HANDS OUT ALL THE TIME. DON'T ENCOURAGE THOSE PEOPLE TO BEG - SOONER OR LATER THEY WILL TURN NASTY AND THROW STONES OR WORSE WHEN THEY GET NOTHING
