Namibia has not suffered from its gaining independence. Everything works well, personal safety is not an issue, shops are well supplied, the towns peaceful and safe and the roads good. Prices are in line with those in South Africa or cheaper. South African Standard Bank cards work in Namibian ATM's. 1 N$=1ZAR and Rands can be used anywhere.
