MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO SPEND HERE - THE SUNSETS ARE UNIQUE

Mosi-oa-Tunya (The Smoke that Thunders), otherwise known as Victoria Falls were NOT discovered by David Livingstone as is the popular conception. The indigenous people of the region were there before he was even thought of (and so probably were the slave traders). But, let's give him some credit - he was the first white man there.

The majesty of the falls can really best be seen from the Zambian side and for the more physically able a trip down to the "Boiling Pot" is worth the physical effort of getting back up again. A flight over the Falls is a must.
